Mumbai: Maharashtra Government has approved inclusion of eight health schemes to be covered under the district annual funds. In a statement, Maharashtra’s Health Minister Rajesh Tope said this will enable better health facilities for citizens as construction, repairs and maintenance of healthcare centres, their electrification, purchase of
medicines and medical equipment and purchase of ambulances will become easier and faster.
Stating that structural audits are being conducted for all the 523 hospitals with 30 or more beds and an expected 218 crore rupees will be incurred on repairs and maintenance.
