Maharashtra govt boat capsizes off Mumbai coast

A Maharashtra government boat which was heading towards the proposed site where a memorial for Maratha warrior, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj is to be built, capsized off Mumbai coast Wednesday evening.

According to coast guard officials the boat, carrying senior state government officials including the



Chief Secretary of Maharashtra Dinesh Kumar Jain capsized around 4 pm. 

Immediate rescue operations were launched and two helicopters and boats were pressed into service. 

Sources said, all the people on the boat were rescued safely.
