Mumbai: Maharashtra Government has launched an online registration facility for fully vaccinated passengers who wish to travel by suburban trains. This comes two days after the offline facility for verification and issuance of railway pass was started across the railway stations of Mumbai’s suburban network.
The universal travel pass can be accessed via web portal https://epassmsdma.mahait.org. Mumbaikars can register on this web portal and download the e-pass which can be shown at
the ticket counter to book monthly railway passes.
While this facility was available to all essential services providers till now, the same can now be assessed by fully vaccinated citizens. However, citizens must have completed 14 days post the second dose to avail this service.
Maharashtra Government has earlier announced that fully vaccinated citizens will be allowed to travel in local trains from 15th August.
