Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh has appealed citizens to observe the upcoming festival of Bakri-Id or Eid-ul-Adha in a symbolic fashion. Following a meeting with Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, the state has released guidelines for the festival.

Guidelines issued by Maharashtra Government clearly state that no relaxation will be allowed in containment zones for the



Eid-ul-Adha festival.

The state has urged Muslim brethen to offer Namaz inside the safety of their homes as religious places continue to remain shut. The government has said that all livestock markets will continue to remain shut and anyone who desires to perform the sacrifice ritual must do it through online mode.
