Maharashtra minister and NCP spokesperson Nawab Malik has been remanded to the Enforcement Directorate’s custody till March 3. He was arrested on Wednesday in connection with a money laundering case linked to fugitive underworld gangster Dawood Ibrahim.
Nawab Malik was taken to the ED's office in south Mumbai on Wednesday morning for questioning, following which he was later arrested. The 62-year-old NCP leader was then taken
to the state-run JJ Hospital in the afternoon for a medical check-up as per procedure.
The Maharashtra minister was produced before a special court in Mumbai after the Enforcement Directorate arrested him this afternoon in a money laundering case probe linked to the activities of fugitive gangster Dawood Ibrahim, his aides and the Mumbai underworld.
The court remanded Nawab Malik to ED custody till March 3.
