Maharashtra State Election Commission announces poll schedule for gram panchayats

Mumbai: Maharashtra State Election Commission has announced poll schedule for 1,166 gram panchayats spread over 18 districts. Polling for these panchayats will be held on 13th of next month.

State Election Commissioner UPS Madan said that the nominations will be accepted from 21st to 27th of this month, while scrutiny will be done on 28th of this



month. The last date for withdrawal of nominations is 30th of this month and election symbols will be distributed on the same day. Voting will be held on 13th of next month, between 7.30 AM to 5.30 PM. In Naxal-affected areas, voting time will be till three PM. The counting of votes will be taken up on 14th of next month.
