Mahashivratri being celebrated with traditional fervour across the country today

The festival of Mahashivratri is being celebrated across the country today with religious fervor and gaiety. Maha Shivratri is the most auspicious festival of devotees of Lord Shiva and the day is observed with fervor and devotion. 

Thousands of devotees take a dip at various pilgrim destinations on this occasion. From early morning, devotees celebrate the festival by fasting and



offering special prayers in the various temple.

President Ram Nath Kovind and Prime Minister Narendra Modi have greeted people on the auspicious occasion of Mahashivratri. 

In a tweet, President hoped that the blessings of Lord Shiva will bring peace, happiness and prosperity to everyone's lives.
