Mumbai: In Maharashtra, a major fire broke out in a godown in suburban Andheri area of Mumbai. A civic official said, the incident occurred this morning at around 8.45 a.m. at a godown in Sakinaka area of Andheri. He said, the fire later spread to a few hutments in the neighbouring slum area.
A fire brigade official
said, nine fire engines, six jetties and two water tankers along with an ambulance were rushed to the spot.
Civic official said, fire-fighting is underway and no casualty or injuries have been reported so far. The exact cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.
