Mamata Banerjee takes part in Rath Yatra amid rains in Kolkata

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee participated in Rath Yatra celebrations at Iskcon in Kolkata on Sunday.

She pulled the chariot of the three deities amid rains in the city.

The Chief Minister greeted people on the occasion of Rath Yatra and said in a post on X, "May this day bring



peace, amity and prosperity to all by the grace of Lord Jagannath."

She further said that the Digha will host the Rath Yatra from next year.

"The contraction works at the Jagannath temple in Digha is in its last stage. The inauguration of the temple will take place after the Durga Puja," she added.
