A man identified as Sumit Khatri was beaten to death in North Delhi's Burari area. Police reported that four suspects, including a minor, have been arrested.
The incident reportedly stemmed from a quarrel over a mobile phone.
The accused, identified as Aman, Manav, Rudraksha, and a 17-year-old minor, were apprehended within hours of the incident, according to the police.
The police stated
that the motive behind the murder was a dispute over the mobile phone. The accused, all of whom are drug addicts, had been attempting to retrieve a phone from the deceased, leading to a violent altercation that resulted in Sumit's death.
The police team analysed CCTV footage and gathered local intelligence to identify the suspects and their hideouts. The accused were found to be residents of Kaushik Enclave, Burari, police said.
