Manipur Chief Minister N. Biren Singh said yesterday that seven thousand temporary houses will be constructed for internally displaced persons (IDPs) presently residing at various schools and colleges.
Briefing the media yesterday, returning from New Delhi after holding a series of meetings with the central leaders regarding development projects yesterday, Mr. Biren said that the temporary
houses will be constructed in nine different districts of the state and one thousand three hundred thirty-one houses will be constructed in Churachandpur district alone.
The Chief Minister said that an additional fund of rupees one thousand crore for development works in both hills and valleys will be sanctioned from the Centre soon.
