Manipur: Due to incessant rain landslides and mudslides reported along NH 37

In Manipur, due to the incessant rain, a number of landslides and mudslides have been reported along National Highway 37 (Imphal-Jiribam Road). The concerned authorities have been making all-out efforts to remove the accumulated debris. Major landslides and mudslides were reported between Irang and Khongsang Train Station of Tamenglong



district. The vehicles coming from Jiribam- the neighbouring district with Assam towards Imphal have been diverted to another road.

 

Meanwhile, civic officials have rushed to the affected areas to assess the situation and ensure safe passage for commuters.
