Manipur security forces recover Arms and Ammunition in Joint Operation

In Manipur, a joint team of Assam Rifles and Manipur Police launched a search operation in Kangpokpi district and recovered arms and ammunition kept hidden by miscreants. 

The Police report said that acting on specific intelligence of presence of arms and ammunition in general area of Loiching Ridge of Kangpokpi district of the State, the joint



security team launched operation yesterday and recovered one improvised 7.62 mm SLR, one improvised 9mm CMG, one Short range improvised Mortar, and other war-like stores. 

The report further said that the recovered items have been handed over to the Manipur Police, and investigation is initiated.
