Manohar Parrikar rules out disinvestment in public sector defence undertakings

The Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar has ruled out any disinvestment in defence undertakings and said that retaining the defence public sector units is necessary for the armed forces. Parrikar also said that newly unveiled Defence Procurment Procedure provides a level playing field



for all stakeholders. 

He was speaking at the Global investors' summit organised by ASSOCHAM at Defence Expo in South Goa yesterday. Mr. Parrikar flagged off India's first indigenously built Sonar Dome designed and developed by DRDO at the exposition site.
