New Delhi: Chemicals and Fertilisers Minister Dr Mansukh Mandaviya on Wednesday flagged off the Jan Aushadhi Rath in New Delhi to commence celebrations of Jan Aushadhi Jan Chetna Abhiyaan. Speaking on the occasion, Dr Mandaviya said, the focus will be laid on creating awareness about the Jan Aushadhi amongst people during the Jan Aushadhi week. He said medicines are



available at the Jan Aushadhi Kendra at affordable prices.

The Government has set a target to increase the number of Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Janaushadhi Kendras to 10 thousand by the end of this year. Medicines available at Jan Aushadhi Kendra are priced 50 to 90 per cent less than the prices of branded medicines.
