Maoist killed in encounter with security forces in Dantewada

In Chhattisgarh, a Maoist was killed in an encounter with security forces in Dantewada district of Bastar Division today. The encounter took place at the jungles of Perpa in Kirandul area.  Police recovered a rifle from the spot. The killed Maoists had reward of Rs. Eight lakh on his head.

According to the police officials, the killed Maoist was involved in the incident in which BJP MLA



Bheema Mandavi and four security personnel were killed on April 9 in Dantewada district of Chhattisgarh.

Meanwhile, Maoists killed four villagers in two different incidents in Bijapur and Sukma districts during last 24 hours. In another incident, police arrested six Maoists from Konta and Bhejji area of Sukma district during a search operation.
