Rishikesh: Union Health and Family Welfare Minister Mansukh Mandaviya has said that the prosperity of any country comes from healthy citizens and healthy citizens build a healthy society. He was addressing the third convocation of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences at Rishikesh in the Dehradun district yesterday. 

Stressing to provide medical facilities in remote areas, he said, medical students should come forward with dedication to provide health services in rural areas. Referring to the role of



doctors in the time of COVID, the Union Minister said, the contribution of all the people associated with the medical field in the time of the epidemic is commendable. Earlier the Union Minister also conferred 31 Gold Medals in various medical streams to the meritorious students. 

Mr. Mandviya also laid the foundation stone for 150 bedded critical care unit in AIIMS Rishikesh under Pradhan Mantri Ayushman Bharat Health Infrastructure Mission (PM-ABHIM).
