Met Department has
warned of heavy rain coupled with gusty surface wind in several parts of Odisha
during the next 24 hours due to a low pressure area formed over the Bay of
Bengal. Under the impact of low pressure, rain or thunder shower is likely to
occur at most places over north and south Odisha during next 24 hours. Met
department says heavy rain is also likely to occur at one or two places over
coastal districts of Odisha in next 24 hours.
Fishermen have been
asked not to
venture into sea in South-Odisha Coast as sea condition would be
rough. The state is experiencing good showers for the past couple of days.
Meanwhile, with seven more deaths yesterday, the toll due to lightning in the
state has risen to 47 during past couple of days.
Heavy rain lashed Mumbai and suburban areas, including Thane district yesterday, causing delay in running of local trains. Met department has predicted heavy rainfall in Mumbai and its suburbs during next 24 hours.
