Met Dept forecast extremely heavy rainfall over Saurashtra and Kachchh

India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast extremely heavy rainfall over Saurashtra and Kachchh till tomorrow. IMD has also forecast light to moderate rainfall in Gujarat, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Konkan and Goa today.

The Weather agency said, a low pressure area is likely to form over north and adjoining Central Bay of Bengal today, and it is likely to move west-northwestwards close to south Odisha and north Andhra



Pradesh coasts during the next 24 hours.

IMD has advised fishermen to not venture into the Northeast and adjoining East Central Arabian Sea, along and off Gujarat and north Maharashtra Coasts till tomorrow. Several parts of Delhi and its adjoining areas witnessed moderate to heavy rainfall overnight. The rainfall also caused waterlogging in different areas affecting traffic movement.
