The Met department here has cautioned the people of Bihar in general and Patna in particular to brace for a more hot summer from next month onwards.
While Patna was still sizzling with 40.4 degree celsius, Gaya recorded maximum 41.7 degree celsius. "Patna is likely to touch 42 degree celsius by Saturday," said Anand Shankar of Patna
Meteorolgical Centre.
"Westerly winds are dominating the entire lower level of atmosphere. Constant flow of westerly wind allows the hot solar rays to enter the lower level of atmosphere, which, in turn, leads to rise in temperature," the Met official argued. "There is no change likely in the weather conditions till April 29," he added.
