MiG-21 jet crashes in Moga, Punjab

A MiG-21 aircraft of the Indian Air Force crashed at Moga in Punjab last night.

 

The pilot, Sqn Ldr Abhinav Choudhary, sustained fatal injuries.

 

In a tweet, the IAF condoled the tragic loss and said the Air Force stands firmly



with the family of the bereaved. 

 

The aircraft was on a routine training sortie when the accident happened.

 

An inquiry has been ordered to ascertain the cause of the accident.
