Union Minister Dr Jitendra Singh has said that Mission Karmayogi has led to the development of a new culture in governance, which is responsive, dynamic and allied with contemporary India. He added that Mission Karmayogi will help bureaucrats in performing a diverse range of works in the government departments.
Dr Singh was addressing the ‘Samuhik Charcha’ for officers of the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances in New Delhi yesterday. The ‘Samuhik Charcha’ was focused on a briefing on Mission Karmayogi, National Learning Week and the Karmayogi Competency Model.
Dr. Singh emphasised that
Mission Karmayogi underlines a paradigm shift from ‘Rule’ to ‘Role’ and focuses that Civil Servants should not be bound by rules but by responsibilities. The Minister outlined that the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions was the first amongst the ministries which started the cycle of regular learning.
On the occasion, Dr. Singh applauded the vision of the Prime Minister on Mission Karmayogi. The ‘Samuhik Charcha aims to facilitate and entrench learning on a chosen theme by bringing officers across departments within the Ministry together.
