Aizawl: Mizoram is ready to host the G-20 Business Conference at Aizawl on 2nd March. Union Minister of State for Commerce and Industries Som Parkash and Minister of State for External Affairs Dr. Rajkumar Ranjan Singh will grace the summit.
Chief Minister Zoramthanga today while briefing the media persons about the conference said that the B20 meeting will bring together several policymakers, think tanks, business leaders, CEOs and senior executives representing businesses of the G20 and allied countries along with the representatives of several multilateral organizations.
About 48 business delegates and 17 diplomats from 17 countries, including the US, Germany, China, France and
Japan are likely to participate in the Business meeting.
The Chief Minister said that the G-20 business events will in fact start from tomorrow with the arrival of delegates. The Chief Minister said that apart from foreign delegates, 16 delegates from India and 85 local startups will also take part in the event.
Mr. Zoramthanga further said that the B20 conference will focus on opportunities for multilateral business partnerships in urban planning, infrastructure, bamboo, startups, skill development, handloom and handicraft, nursing and paramedics. He observed that the event will help the state to project it as an important investment destination.
