Hyderabad: Polling to
fill six vacant seats in the Telangana Legislative Council under Local
Authorities Constituencies (LACs) concluded peacefully in four districts on
Sunday.
Speaking to mediapersons, Chief Electoral Officer Bhanwarlal said the overall polling percentage was 97 per cent. Polling has been conducted for two seats each in Ranga Reddy and Mahbubnagar and one seat each in Nalgonda and Khammam.

per cent, while it was 99.72 per cent in Nalgonda and 95 per cent in Khammam
district. Of the total 771 voters in Ranga Reddy, 769 cast their votes. In
Mahbubnagar district, 1257 members, out of 1260, exercised their franchise.
Likewise, of 1110 voters in Nalgonda, 1100 cast their votes and in Khammam 692 out of 725 voters exercised their franchise. The official said that 19 candidates were in the fray. The counting of votes and declaration of results will be on December 30, Bhanwarlal said.
