New Delhi: Secretary for the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting Apurav Chandra yesterday said that the government is preparing a modern media centre to facilitate the press for the coverage of Prana Pratishtha' of Ram temple in Ayodhya on 22 Januray.
Addressing a press briefing in New Delhi over the preparations, he said that the media centre will be operational from the 21st January and it will operate for 7 days.
He informed that after the event, the ministry will keep a facilitation desk to facilitate the media continuously for the next 3 months. He said that the government will provide bus facilities for media from Lucknow and also arrange a special visit for media personnel to the temple once the main event is over. He added that the media people can go
with the camera and can cover inside the temple.
Mr Apurav Chandra, who is holding additional charge of the Ministry of Health has said that Shri Ram Hospital in Ayodhya has been upgraded with modern facilities in view of the upcoming event.
He said the other hospital Rajarshi Dashrath Medical College in Ayodhya has also been upgraded to 550 beds with the assistance of the central government. He added that 50 emergency beds have also been arranged in the hospital. The secretary said, training of more than 200 health workers has also been conducted to deal with any health emergency. He added that AIIMS Raebareli and AIIMS Gorakhpur and other hospitals have been put on alert to deal with health emergencies.
