Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch the Start-up India movement in New Delhi today. The launch event is aimed at celebrating the entrepreneurship spirit of country’s youth and will be attended by CEOs and founders of top Start-ups from across the country and abroad. Mr Modi will interact with Start-up entrepreneurs.
While delivering his Independence Day address from the ramparts of the Red Fort last year, PM Modi had announced about Start-up India, Stand-up India to encourage innovation and entrepreneurship among
young people.
In his Mann ki Baat programme in All India Radio last month, the Prime Minister had informed about the unveiling of blueprint for Start-ups. He had said, Start-up India, Stand-up India programme will connect bright minds and youth all over India who have the talent and the capability to propel India's growth. The Prime Minister had said that the initiative is not just about the IT or digital world, but an effort to assist people starting new business ventures, especially those that involved innovation.
