In Rajasthan, heavy rainfall occurred at several places affecting the normal life. Highest rainfall was recorded at Galiyakot in Dungarpur district. Chittorgarh, Rajsamand, Banswara, Udaipur, Pratapgarh, Baran, Jhalawar, Dausa, Alwar, Kota and Bhilwara witnessed mild to moderate rain.
Meanwhile, Met department has predicted that heavy rain may occur in all divisions except Jaipur and Bharatpur.
Due to heavy rain in various parts of the state, water inflow has been
started in water bodies like well steps, trenches, ponds etc which were constructed and renovated under the Mukhyamantri Jal swavlamban abhiyan. It will help in increasing ground water level as most of zones in the state are in dark area. Most of the dams also witnessed with water inflow.
Administration on alert in Rajsamand district due to heavy rain. More than 14 anicuts have been swept away and 18 villages are facing flood like situation in the district.
