The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has said that the Southwest Monsoon has covered the entire country. It has covered the entire India six days before the normal date of 8th July. IMD said, the monsoon on 1st July 2023, Sunday further advanced into the remaining parts of Rajasthan, Haryana, and Punjab.

The weather office has predicted extremely heavy



rainfall over Assam, Meghalaya, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Coastal and South Interior Karnataka, and over Kerala over the next two days. Heavy to heavy rainfall is also likely over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Kerala, Konkan, Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, West Bengal, Sikkim, Assam, Meghalaya, and Arunachal Pradesh during the next five days.
