Monsoon session of Himachal Pradesh Assembly will begin today under strict COVID-19 protocol. The entire Vidhan Sabha is being sanitized and equipped with a thermal scanner and polycarbonate sheets. Minimum entry has been allowed to check the spread of Corona.
The 10-day state assembly session of monsoon is all set to begin from today at 2.00 pm with covid19 restrictions. The Assembly administration is taking all the precautionary measures to keep coronavirus at bay. In order to check the spread of COVID 19 infection six-feet-high transparent polycarbonate sheets have been installed as a divider between the two seats in
the Assembly to maintain physical distance among the legislators.
Besides, thermal scanners, sanitizer and masks will be made available at entrances of the Vidhan Sabha and any person with fever would be sent to the dispensary in the Assembly complex. On the other hand, no visitor will be permitted in the Vidhan Sabha complex during the session this time. Only one-third of the staff has been issued passes for conducting assembly proceedings. Speaker Vipin Singh Parmar urged the ruling and the opposition legislators to cooperate for the smooth functioning of the session.
