Monsoon session of Maharashtra state legislature is all set to begin today. On the eve of the session, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis told reporters in Mumbai that 13 bills will be tabled in this session, including 10 new and 3 pending bills from last year’s monsoon session.
Mr Fadnavis defended his ministers Pankaja Munde and Ram Shinde, along with ex minister Eknath Khadse regarding
various allegations by opposition. He said that the Opposition has not a single substantial issue.
Meanwhile, the opposition boycotted the high tea hosted by the state government on the eve of session. Addressing a joint press conference, Opposition leaders Radhakrishna Vikhe Patil and Dhananjay Munde raised host of issues alleging the government of failing on various fronts.
