The monsoon is likely to hit Kerala, its first stop in Indian mainland, on May 30, two days ahead of the normal date, the IMD said on Tuesday . The onset date has no bearing on monsoon's progress into the rest of India and does not mean



that it would be good, or vice versa.The rain system normally covers the entire country by July 15. On Tuesday , the monsoon covered the entire Andaman and Nicobar Islands, four days ahead of the normal date.
