More than 12.60 crore tap connections provided to rural households under Jal Jeevan Mission: Union Minister

New Delhi: Jal Shakti Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat has said that more than 12 crore 60 lakh tap connections have been provided to rural households under Jal Jeevan Mission.

 

Inaugurating a two-day National Conference on Rural WASH Partners' Forum in New Delhi yesterday, Mr Shekhawat



said, government has taken several steps to improve the lives of the citizens.

 

The Mission was announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in 2019, with the aim to provide assured tap water supply to every rural home by 2024.
