All preparations have been put in place for splendid Deepotsava 2019 celebrations in Ayodhya this evening. More than 5 lakh 51 thousand earthen lamps (clay lamps) will be lit in the heritage city to create a world record on the occasion. This is the third consecutive year of Deepotsav.

Last year more than 3 lakh earthen lamps were lighted. The state government has accorded State Fair status to Ayodhya Deepotsav. 

Deputy Speaker of Fiji Parliament  Veena  Kumar Bhatnagar will be the chief guest at the function.  Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath along with Ministers of Central and State governments and other dignitaries will witness various programs of Deepotsav-2019 in Ayodhya.
 
Deepotsav programme will include various activities across the day. A Shobha Yatra containing various tableaux on the scenes and episodes on the life of  Lord Rama will be



displayed. Ramlilas - live stage show of Lord Ram's life history, by the artistes of Nepal, Sri Lanka, Indonesia and Philippines will also be displayed at separate places in Ramnagari. 

Beautifully decorated Ayodhya city is eagerly waiting when scenes of Ramayana will be recreated and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will perform the ritual of enthronement - Rajyabhishek of Lord Sri Ram at Ramkatha Sthal. This will be the third year in a row that the CM will celebrate Dipawali in a grand manner in Ayodhya and lead the lighting of over five lakh fifty-one thousand earthen lamps on the banks of river Saryu and other places to create a world record.  

The Chief Minister will also inaugurate and dedicate several developmental projects worth rupees 226 crores for Ayodhya on this occasion. Keeping in view huge gathering of devotees elaborate security arrangements have been put in place.
