MoS Dr L Murugan urges youth to become entrepreneurs and not job seekers

Minister of State for Information and broadcasting Dr L Murugan urged the youth to become entrepreneurs than being job seekers.

He delivered the special address at the 54th annual convocation of the Madurai Kamaraj University yesterday. He said, Prime Minister Narendra Modi popularizes Tamil language across the globe. He recalled that in the UN, the Prime Minister started his speech with the Tamil quote “Yaadhum Oore Yaavarum Kelir,” which means the whole world is like one's own native place and all are brethren.

Prime minister had announced the creation of Mahakavi Bharatiyar chair at the Banaras Hindu University. He remarked that India has given about 200 crore doses of Covid-19 vaccines free of cost till now. 

He recalled that during the Russia - Ukraine crisis, India rescued 23,000 students and brought them back home safely through Operation Ganga. He said the"Khelo India" program has helped sportspersons perform well in international sports. He said, under the New Education Policy, mother tongues are being given importance.
