New Delhi: Minister of State for Culture Meenakshi Lekhi flagged off 'Shri Ramayana Yatra' Bharat Gaurav Deluxe AC Tourist Train from Delhi Safdarjung Railway Station on Sunday. Ms Lekhi also interacted with the passengers on board the train before its departure. The Train is being run under the 'Dekho Apna Desh' initiative to showcase India's cultural heritage and historical places to the
people.

Due to popular demand, Railways decided to operate the specially designed tour 'Shri Ramayana Yatra' Bharat Gaurav Deluxe AC Tourist Train. The train will travel through all prominent places linked to Lord Ram's life - Ayodhya, Nandigram, Janakpur, Sitamarhi, Buxar, Varanasi, Prayagraj, Shringverpur, Chitrakoot, Nashik, Hampi, Rameshwaram, Bhadrachalam and Nagpur.
