Minister of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, Nitin Gadkari has said that the MSME sector has great potential for growth and employment generation and urged the industry to invest more in this sector. 

Mr Gadkari said, his ministry is planning to make 700 industrial clusters and he invited the private sector to invest in this direction. He was addressing the National Council meeting of Confederation of Indian Industry in New Delhi. 

Mr Gadkari said the centre will encourage large enterprises to build an ecosystem of ancillaries and vendors so that



MSME can contribute to producing at home. The Minister asked the industry to focus on rural India, which has been ignored and work for its development saying that government is investor friendly and wants to support the industry. 

Mr Gadkari said waste to wealth, employment generation, growth and innovation are high priorities of the Government. The minister said, the government will launch a website namely Bank of Idea and Innovation to seek new ideas and suggestions to boost the MSME sector and country's growth.
