Samajwadi Party (SP) supremo Mulayam Singh expanded his political clan further on Sunday with one more member of the family making her political debut.
Mulayam’s younger daughter-in-law Aparna Yadav has been declared SP nominee from the Lucknow Cantonment Assembly constituency in Uttar Pradesh for the next Assembly polls in the state, which were scheduled to be held early 2017.

Minister Shivpal Singh Yadav made this announcement here on Sunday. Interestingly Aparna had been nominated from a seat from where the SP had never been victorious and was not considered to be a party bastion.
The nomination of Aparna came as a surprise for even the SP leaders as she was known for speaking her mind on important issues and on many occasions her views were diametrically opposite to the line taken by the SP.
