Chief of Defence Staff General Anil Chauhan yesterday said that multiple initiatives are being taken by the Indian Armed Forces to maintain an edge over adversaries. He said, improvements in its war-fighting doctrines, strategy and concepts as per perceived threat have been enunciated. This Chief of Defence Staff was speaking at an event in New Delhi to mark 25 years of Kargil Vijay Diwas. 

General  Anil Chauhan said that capability development to include infrastructure and robust operational



logistics is being attempted in a progressive manner through indigenous means to build future-ready Armed Forces. He added that multiple re-organization and re-structuring initiatives are ongoing to enhance warfighting efficiency and effectiveness. Kargil war, he said, the war has become synonymous with resoluteness, selflessness, fierce courage, and determination of the country’s Armed forces, and collectively exhorts the nation to focus towards future threats and challenges
