Mumbai: A Mumbai court has extended the police custody of businessman Raj Kundra till 27th July for allegedly creating and publishing pornographic films.
The Mumbai Police sought extension of his custody to probe the matter further. The police had earlier told the court that the 45-year-old businessman was gaining financially from the illegal activity and using the gains for online betting. They also wanted to investigate
the contents of his mobile phone and scrutinize business dealings and bank transactions.
After the hearing, Mumbai Crime Branch conducted raids at actress Shilpa Shetty’s house and recorded her statement, primarily to investigate if she knew about her husband’s deeds. Meanwhile, Raj Kundra had filed a petition in the Bombay High Court, challenging his arrest.
