Railways’ newest addition, the Mumbai-Delhi Rajdhani Express passing through the Central zone will be flagged off on Saturday by Union Railway Minister Piyush Goyal.
The train will leave Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus every Wednesday and Saturday at 2.50 pm and arrive at Hazrat Nizamuddin at 10.20 am next day.
On its return journey, the train will leave Hazarat Nizamuddin every Thursday and Sunday at 4.15 pm and arrive at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus at 11.55 am
next day.
The train will have a single first AC coach, three AC 2-tiers, 8 AC 3-tiers and a pantry car. This will be the first Rajdhani in the state which will take a detour via Madhya Pradesh, instead of Gujarat. The halts include Kalyan, Nasik, Jalgaon, Khandwa, Bhopal, Jhansi and Agra.
In a record, Central Railways has informed that all the 756 berths of this Rajdhani were booked in just five hours after the bookings opened on Friday.
