Metro railway in Mumbai is resuming its service from today. However, trains will run with a limited number of passengers to maintain social distancing and the number of services will be limited in the initial phase. The commuters who do not clear the health checks including a temperature check will not be allowed to enter the Metro.
After remaining shut for seven months, Mumbai Metro is resuming its services from today. Entire Metro staff is equipped with necessary safety gear and health desks. Health check-up
kiosks have been set-up at all Entry points.
While traveling, wearing a mask will be mandatory. Metro has adopted a contactless ticketing system and QR code based tickets will be issued to the commuters. Social distancing floor stickers have been pasted near ticket counters, security checkpoints, AFC gates, on escalators, at platforms and inside the trains. The commuters who do not clear the health checks including a temperature check will not be allowed to enter the Metro.
