Mumbai's Pydhonie police on Thursday reached Delhi to summon now-suspended BJP leader Nupur Sharma over her controversial remarks on Prophet Muhammad.
Nupur Sharma has been summoned to the Pydhonie police station to be present on June 25 at 11 am to record her statement.
According to sources, Nupur Sharma was earlier summoned on her email. Now a police team has been sent to give
her a physical copy of the same.
Mumbai Police had registered a case against the now suspended BJP spokesperson based on a complaint of Raza Academy.
Meanwhile, Maharastra Home Minister Dilip Walse Patil was asked about Delhi Police not co-operating in executing summons to Nupur Sharma. He said, "It's true. Maharashtra police's attempts are on and Delhi Police should also co-operate."
