Mumbai records heavy rainfall

Mumbai and its neighbouring areas such as Thane, Kalyan, Dombivli, Airoli continued to receive heavy rainfall this morning. 

The city and its suburbs have been receiving heavy rainfall for last two days. An official from the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation disaster control room said that as of now there are no reports of waterlogging and suburban train services are running



normal. 

From 8.30 am Sunday till 5.30 am Monday morning, the Colaba observatory has recorded 159 mm of rainfall while the Santacruz observatory has recorded 108 mm of rainfall.

The weather department has forecast continuous rain with heavy to very heavy falls at a few places and extremely heavy falls at one or two places over city and suburbs in the next 24 hours.
