Myanmar Navy's C-in-C meets Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman

Myanmar Navy's Commander-in-Chief Admiral Tin Aung San met Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman in New Delhi on Wednesday. 

Mr Aung San is currently on a four day visit to India from 18th of this month. He also met Chief of the Naval Staff Sunil Lanba.According to an official release, the visit is intended to consolidate and enhance bilateral defence relations between India and



Myanmar. 

The Admiral visited various Naval establishments at Mumbai and Kochi as part of his itinerary before arriving in New Delhi. 

Naval cooperation between the two countries has been traditionally strong, encompassing a wide span which includes operational interactions through Coordinated Parols, Training and Capability Augmentation initiatives.
