Kohima: Nagaland will launch the first phase of Intensified Mission Indradhanush (IMI) 5.0 immunisation drive today. Principal Director of Health & Family Welfare department Nagaland Dr. Vibeztuonuo M Sachu will officially launch the IMI 5.0 at Seikhazou Urban Primary Health Centre Kohima this morning. Health & Family Welfare department Nagaland created 209 IMI sessions in 12 districts, targeting 1155 children in 0 to 2 years, 730 children of 2 to 5 years
and 179 pregnant women.
The objective of IMI 5.0 is to identify all children up to 5 years for missed doses, register them on U-WIN and vaccinate them in specially planned IMI sessions.
The initiative also represents the nationwide effort to eliminate Measles and Rubella by ensuring that every child under 5 years completes the crucial two-dose schedule of Measles and Rubella.
