Vijayawada: Telugu Desam chief N. Chandrababu Naidu has promised to enhance the honorarium to the village/ward volunteers to Rs 10,000 from the present Rs 5,000 per month if the TD-JS-BJP alliance is elected to power. He told the media here on Tuesday that the alliance government would continue the services of volunteers and provide skill development training to those having higher qualifications and even help them work from home.
Being critical of the rule of YSRC government, Naidu said that the people were frustrated as they were facing hardships. “The prices are rising and minerals are being looted by vested interests.” He alleged that the people were having a fear-psychosis, they were fearing about their future, their children’s education and employment
and so on. He said it would be good to allow these children to pursue primary education in their mother tongue and pursue professional education in English as was the practice being followed globally. “What is the use of good school buildings when the quality of education is poor?”
Naidu alleged that the people were facing difficulty in getting drinking water and water for irrigation. “There is imposition of power cuts,” he said and wondered why the YSRC government was “failing to address such issues.” “I want the people of this state to support the alliance. They should hoist the alliance flag on top of their house to promote the alliance and must educate the voters to support us,” he said.
