Mahaparinirvan Diwas is being observed today, marking the 69th death anniversary of Bharat Ratna Dr BR Ambedkar, the chief architect of the Indian Constitution. On this solemn day, the Nation pays homage to Babasaheb Ambedkar by reflecting on his teachings and commitment to building a just and inclusive society.
Several events are being organised all over the country to highlight the contribution of Dr Ambedkar to nation-building. Vice President Jagdeep Dhankar, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla,
Deputy Chairperson of Rajya Sabha Harivansh, other members of Parliament and several other dignitaries will offer floral tributes to the chief architect of the Indian Constitution at Prerna Sthal in the Parliament House complex in New Delhi.
Dr. Ambedkar was a revered leader, jurist, thinker, economist, and social reformer, who dedicated his life to championing equality and eradicating caste-based discrimination. Babasaheb was conferred the Bharat Ratna posthumously in 1990.
