Nation pays homage to the former PM Lal Bahadur Shastri on his birth anniversary

The Nation also pays homage to the former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri on his birth anniversary. Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Vijay Ghat in the national capital to offer floral tributes to

Shastri.

Under Shastri's leadership, India won the 1965 war against Pakistan. Shastri gave the powerful slogan of Jai Jawan, Jai Kisan to enthuse soldiers and farmers.
