Nation remembers the martyrs of 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks on the 10th anniversary on Monday.
166 people were killed and 300 injured in the attacks carried out by ten Pakistani terrorists.
The attacks that began on 26 November, 2008 lasted for three days.
The terrorists had entered Mumbai via the Arabian Sea and attacked the city’s iconic places like Hotels Taj and Trident, Nariman House and Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus.
Numerous events were held in Mumbai yesterday in memory of the martyrs.
The President, Vice-President and Prime Minister paid tributes to those who lost their lives in the
attacks.
Addressing a public meeting in Rajasthan's Bhilwara, Mr Modi said, people of the country will never forget the 26/11 terror attacks and those responsible for it will definitely be punished.
External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj said that the Pakistan should hold those responsible for 26/11 attacks to account.
In a statement, the External Affairs Ministry said, the 26/11 terrorist attack was planned, executed and launched from Pakistan territory.
The Ministry said, India will continue its efforts to bring justice to the families of the victims and the martyrs.
