The 270-km long Jammu-Srinagar National Highway (NH44), the only all-weather surface link that connects Kashmir valley with rest of the country, has been closed for vehicular traffic today after overnight rain that triggered landslides at various places. No fresh traffic was allowed



today. 

Amarnath Yatra has been stopped at Chanderkote in Ramban district due to multiple landslides on the National Highway between Ramban and Banihal. The restoration work and debris clearance operations are continuing on the National Highway on a war footing.
